The gorgeous soaring interior of Macnamara Center, on the campus of the University of Minnesota, is a wonderful space to drape. The balconies on one side make excellent high tie-off points and the slanted geometric walls make challenging places to reach. There is a low fountain that extends across the entire outer wall. I took the scissors lift as high as it would go and extended the work platform out to bridge over the fountain and reach the wall. This drape was for a wedding reception, so by using grand swags and twinkle lights we gave a warm and intimate atmosphere to this otherwise austere space.
