The Event: Wedding Reception
The Theme: Romantic with a Spicy Side
The Design: To fill in and soften the stark high-ceiling space, with deep swags radiating from the center of the room.
The Lighting:The couple told me they wanted lots of color at their reception. The bridesmaid's gowns were a vivid red, their flowers were bold bright colors and the evening would feature Salsa dancing. Using only six par 64 fixtures, I wanted to infuse the room with as much rich color as I could get from them. I chose a vivid red and a deep magenta in gel colors, then made split gel frames so each fixture would emit both colors. The colors became more evident as the sun went down and all the daylight left the room
